‘King’s Tipple Afternoon Tea,’ launches at The Chelsea Harbour Hotel to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles on May 6th
Lovingly designed by head Rohan Mehta to honour King Charles, the special edition Coronation menu is available until May 11th.
Start off the special edition ‘Kings Tipple Tea,’ afternoon tea menu in style with a mini–Classic Coronation cocktail aperitif or a glass of fizz, followed by delicious seasonal savoury flavours and sumptuous, sweet treats to complete the special tea.
A mouth-watering selection of savoury sandwiches of smoked salmon with creamed horseradish on beetroot bread; cucumber and mint cream cheese on brown bread; coronation chicken, toasted almonds on mini brioche roll; egg mayonnaise on basil bread and ham with whole grain mustard on white bread.
No ‘English’ afternoon tea is complete without scones and the ‘King’s Tipple Tea’ includes warm, beautifully fluffy, raison and plain scones freshly baked in the in-house bakery served with strawberry preserve and clotted cream.
The piece de residence is a sensational sweet selection of berry and fig tart, spring berry anglaise, berries and figs, Choux Au Craquelin Valhrona – chocolate and pistachio; lemon Verbena cake, semolina cake with passion fruit curd, blueberry cheesecake and Turkish delight macaron. All served in the restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbour, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
